About the 9th Grade Academy:
The purpose of the 9th Grade Academy is to support the overall mission of Rockdale County High School:
to facilitate scholarship and individual successes by ensuring rigorous academic preparation; emphasizing inclusiveness; promoting cross- cultural connections; encouraging positive relationships; promote life-long learning; and producing active, responsible citizens.
The 9th Grade Academy will help ninth grade students transition successfully into high school by meeting their academic, social, and emotional needs as well as equip students to be college and career ready. Our staff is committed to employing high yield instructional strategies along with personalized attention to achieve greater success in the classroom, fewer absences, and a decrease in behavior disturbances.
