Principal's Corner

 Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Flat Shoals Elementary! We are excited to welcome both our returning and new Mustang families as we begin another year of learning, growth, and success.

Last school year was filled with many accomplishments as our students, staff, and families worked together to create meaningful learning experiences and strengthen our school community. We are proud of the progress we made and look forward to building on that momentum throughout the coming year.

Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is:

From Foundation to Finish: We're Still Building!

This theme reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and reminds us that excellence is built over time. While we have established a strong foundation, our work is far from complete. Every lesson taught, every relationship formed, and every milestone achieved moves us closer to ensuring that every Mustang reaches their full potential. Together, our teachers, students, families, and community will continue building a culture of academic excellence, character, and success.

Our school’s vision remains clear: to ensure all students reach their highest potential as lifelong learners and productive members of a global society. We are committed to fulfilling this vision by providing:

· A rigorous and engaging curriculum

· Enrichment opportunities that spark curiosity and creativity

· Support for our scholars' behavioral, emotional, and social development

As we begin this new school year, I encourage you to stay engaged and connected. Weekly Friday evening phone calls and emails will provide updates and important information. These will also be posted on our FSE homepage. Your voice, partnership, and feedback are always welcome. Please reach out with any questions, concerns, or celebrations to share.
